Oktoberfest

Hi! If you are going to visit Munich, I recommend you visit it with friends in October, so you can attend the Oktoberfest. The Oktoberfest is a festival of beer. The Oktoberfest is organized in the city centre of Munich and it is easy to access with public transport. You should go early because there are a lot of people who go to drink. I went with my friends and had a great time. I met a lot of people and I hope to go back in a few years. The food was delicious and there was a wide variety of food to choose from. You have to buy a traditional suit or dress like the locals do. Make sure you book a table in advance because if not you will have to stand during hours. It lasts a whole day and stops at night time.  Thanks for reading!

Transport

Hi! Mamny of you have been asking me about transport.   The best way to move in Munich is by public transport. The transport is always on time. The best way is to move by metro. The metro here is called U-Bahn and has 8 lines, and 96 stations. The prices for the tickets were a little bit expensive in my opinion but worth it. You can also try the train, which is called S-Bahn, and this train connects the different cities in Germany. The tram is also a very good option, because you can see the city when you are going to another place, and it is cheaper. The bus is the best option to visit the city, in my opinion. This is due to the fact that the stations are closer and in the middle of the city. It is always on time and has heating. You can also use tourist guide buses that show and explain the city better.  Hope this is helpful!

Food

Hello again! Normally I would eat breakfast in the apartments. But 2 days of that week we went to a café. In the café we ate a typical food called Bauernfrühstück. This dish has sausages, eggs, toast, bread, cheese, butter, and fruit. You can accompany your meal with coffee or tea. You can east it in your house too. For lunch we usually ate in the apartment, but we ate out a few days. The first day we ate in an Italian restaurant. Here we ate pizza. The second day we went to a typical German restaurant where we tried schnitzel. The schnitzel is one of the most typical dishes in Germany. It is a battered steak that comes with potato chips. Sometimes it is filled with ham and cheese. The third day we ate sausages, the most common food. It is easy to find anywhere. There are many food trucks and food stands. Bye!

Tourist Sites

Hi everyone! The first place that I visited in Munich was the old townhall which was built between 1470 and 1480 with a gothic style. The tower is 55 metres high and has a peculiar museum that shows the history of toys. There is also a new townhall that you can visit that was built between 1867 and 1908. Another place that I loved was the river Eisbach. Here you can see many people doing surf. The river has a small wave which is difficult to surf. This attraction is open to everyone specially those who love to surf. The English Garden is a perfect park for a picnic with friends. I really liked this because I was surrounded by nature and lakes. There were people cycling around, something very typical in Germany. Thanks for reading!
